If you are struggling with retention issues this may be why! Shaking your glue is so important to insure all ingredients are mixed together. This is easier to see if your glue is black as you will be able to see if the ingredients are still separated when you dispense your head of glue. But, to always be sure shake your glue for at least one minute and massage the bottom of the glue bottle. When shaking your glue always use a glue pin, this will ensure no air or dirt will get into the bottle and you can still shake the bottle vigorously without any of the glue spilling.
